International Fur Workshop in Minsk

On 21st of November 2017 in Minsk, an international workshop on the use of modern technologies in the design and sewing of fur garments wasorganized by the Russian Fur Union in conjunction with the Republican Association "Belpushnina" with the support of the International Fur Federation.

The master class was attended by students and teachers of profile Universities of Belarus, as well as representatives of fur companies, more than 100 people.

Workshop was conducted by well-known Russian and foreign designers who have many years of experience in the field of tailoring fur garments, as well as representatives of international fur auctions SAGA and NAFA.

The designer of the Moscow company "Ekaterina" Margarita Zaykovskaya told about the specifics of the fur garment creation.

Designer Sergey Efremov shared with the audience information about modern technologies of working with fur and his history of craftsmanship.

Marketing Director of the North American Fur-Auction (NAFA) Oksana Moroz spoke about the fur trends of the season 2017-2018, as well as the use of wild furs in collections of fashion designers.

Business Manager for Eastern Europe of the SAGA Fur Auction Dmitry Larionov spoke about the work of the SAGA design studio, about the modern choice of designers, and also demonstrated samples of modern fur techniques.

The head of the company "Accessory Fur" Vasily Constantinopolsky told about the unique technology of metallization of furskins.

Within the framework of the master class, all the participants were able to personally get acquainted with the variety of modern samples of techniques for sewing fur products, as well as receive answers to their questions.
