On June 11, 2018, the annual meeting of the IFF-Eurasia Regional Board took place in Turkey, with the participation of the financial director of the International Fur Federation (IFF) Kiran Mahmood and the IFF Asia Region Director Kelly Xu.
The meeting discussed issues related to the support and development of fur industry in Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Ukraine.
Kiran Mahmood (IFF) spoke about the recent news of the International Fur Federation and its main activities for the coming years.
Kelly Xu spoke about the current work of the IFF-Asia region and prospects for cooperation with the Eurasia region in the field of fur fashion and design, trade and standardization.
The work plan of the Eurasia region for 2018-2019 was approved. A number of decisions were made regarding cooperation between the national associations of the region in the field of training, as well as the interaction of educational institutions in the countries of the region that train specialists in the fur industry.

It was decided to hold the final of the contest of young designers Remix-Eurasia 2018, the Gala-show of fur collections of the countries-members of the Eurasia Region and a fur master-class on design and technology of production of fur garments in the period from November 13-16, 2018 in Istanbul (Turkey).
Within the framework of the board meeting, a trip to island Rhodes (Greece) was organized with visits to local sightseeings and fur companies.
