On November 13, 2019, an international master class on the use of modern technologies in the field of design and sewing of fur garments was held in Moscow with the participation of Russian and foreign designers, organized by the Russian Fur Union with the support of the International Fur Federation (IFF) and international fur auctions Kopenhagen Fur, Sojuzpushnina and SAGA.
The master class was attended by design students, representatives of fur companies, teachers of specialized educational institutions from different cities of Russia, as well as Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Denmark, about 250 people. Most of the participants were students of specialized universities. The number of participants who attended the master class indicates a high interest of the younger generation in natural fur and design, gives hope for the future staffing of the fur industry.
The master class was conducted by Russian and foreign designers who have many years of experience in the field of sewing fur garments, as well as representatives of the international fur auction Kopenhagen Fur.
Vitaly Stavitsky, President of the Union of Designers of Russia, Academician of the National Academy of Design, spoke about "Design 5.0" and the current state of design in Russia.
Alla Shishkina, the designer of the Ekaterina Furs company (Moscow), spoke about the specifics of creating a fur garment.
Kristina Zolotukhina, designer of one of the leading Turkish companies for tailoring products from natural fur and leather Punto, made a presentation on the theme “Environmental protection and fashion. Application of new technologies and materials in the manufacture of fur products”.
Sergey Efremov, designer of the fashion house Efremov, member of the high fashion association of pret-a-porter Russia, told about modern fashion trends, fur trends, as well as technologies of using natural fur in the collections of the House.
Kopenhagen Fur creative studio designer Malin Lindqvist and Victoria Pustynnikova (international sales manager at Kopenhagen Fur auction) made a presentation on the topic “Trend Analysis of Fur Fashion Autumn / Winter 19-20”, in which they touched on the basics of Scandinavian design, talked about the use of natural fur leading Danish and world brands, as well as innovative techniques for sewing fur products used in the Creative Studio.
Victoria Konstantinopolskaya, the creative director of the Accessory Fur group of companies (Moscow), made a presentation on the international scientific and educational cluster Astel.
The designer of the Belarusian Design Center GNL (Minsk), Svetlana Ivanova, spoke about the creation of the GNL brand and the incentive to develop production and promote its own products in the fur industry.
Fashion designer Irina Krutikova, Honored Artist of Russia, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, shared her experience in the field of design and gave guidance to young students in their future profession.
During the master class, the participants were able to see and touch the presented samples of modern fur techniques, as well as get answers to questions from speakers.
The event summed up the results of the international competition for young fur designers Remix-Eurasia 2019, organized by the Russian Fur Union with the support of IFF and international fur auctions (Sojuzpushnina, SAGA, Kopenhagen Fur), which was attended by more than 300 designers from Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Belarus.
This year's competition took place in the form of sketches.

According to the results of voting by the jury, the following results were announced.
1st place in the competition was awarded to Maria Litvinenko (Russia), who was awarded an honorary diploma with a memorable prize and a trip to the Creative studio at Kopenhagen Fur (Denmark).
2nd place in the competition was awarded to Svetlana Khmeleva (Russia), who was awarded an honorary diploma with a memorable prize and a trip to study at the Saga Furs design center (Finland).
3rd place in the competition was awarded to Kamila Zigangirova (Russia), who was awarded an honorary diploma, a memorable prize and a money prize from the Sojuzpushnina auction.
