On January 30, 2018 in St. Petersburg, within the framework of the Sojuzpushnina auction, the Russian Fur Union (RFU) held a round table on the topic: "Wild sable harvesting and turnover issues in the Russian Federation".
The round table was attended by the Government and Ministry representatives, the leaders of the largest organizations - suppliers of wild furs from different regions of the Russian Federation, representatives from the RFU and Sojuzpushnina.
As a result of the meeting, decisions were taken aimed at improving hunting legislation, modernizing control over harvesting and turnover of wild fur, strengthening measures to combat wolves and bears, simplifying the procedure for conducting biotechnical measures in hunting grounds and the procedure for concluding hunting agreements.
As part of the humanization of trapping, it was decided to accelerate the work of Russian trap certification center and to stimulate the production of high-quality humane traps.
